Suspension woes

Guys

Recently lowered the Ep91 and all was good however in the last couple of days i have had a noise which has sounded like the board which goes over the spare wheel rattling.

So... I padded this all pu and thought that would resolve the issue. This was not to be the case.

I;ve removed the spare wheel, board etc etc today and this knocking is still here.

I've checked the exhaust and this is not bouncing off the axle. Also had the car jacked on the side i believe the noise to be coming from and there is no play in the wheel, shocker etc at top or bottom and the spring is sat correctly.

This thumpy rattle is ddriving me mad and i'm a little concerned by it too.

I've checked the adjustable panhard i've fitted and this too seems solid where it needs to.

Handling on the car appear to be ok also.

The only thing i have noticed which i thought may have been contributory to some enthusiastic driving is where the boot lid shuts down over the left hand side of the bumper near the tail lights the bumper appear to have a stress crack.

Also on the inside of the car on the internal trim there is a piece of trim where the glue has been split and this is rising.

I know this is in direct relation to the suspension but i'm not sure about the knock.

Has anyone else seen anything similar. The car does not appear to be unsafe to drive i dont think, just fucking irritating.

it could be the rubber sleves on the shocker mate mine is loose and rattles like a bith and it took me weeks to find out it was that just a thought

Have you double checked the tightness of the nut on the panhard rod? My Whiteline one rattles like a motherfucker on times.

Top nuts are fine....

i think i have just located this to the panhard rod.

Am i going to be able to drive this still still for a day or so till i can get a socket on it?

When i get under passenger side of car i can feel a little play. Mines a whiteline too.

Don't drive it round for too long. You'll need a large spanner for the adjuster nut, that's what comes loose on mine.

I had a rattle in the back somewhere too - tracked it down to the jack thats inside the rear wing coming away from its clips/ housing!!!

Might be worth a look! ;)

I've located this to the WHITELINE panhard rod. I tightened this up as far as it would go Monday and now its bloody rattling again.

How have other people resolved this?

I did not buy the part thinking i would need to get under the car with a socket every 3 days to stop it from making such a loud clatter.

The drivers side where the panhard slots through the cradle is fine, its the other side where the nut just screws the panhard onto the back of something which is an issue.

HELP!??

Tightened it again this morning and within 16 miles its working loose again. i think i will have to grin and bear it until such time I can get it all tracked up and then i guess i'll have to secure then
