Tags! Please Read

Hi all,

we have implemented the "tags" system which allows people tag threads with key words. These tags then populate a box on the main portal site at www.toyotagtturbo.com

Here you can see a good cross section of what is being discussed on the site at the moment.

The system only works if you bother to tag things We moderate the tags as some stuff such as "well done" or "crap" appear in tags so we need to make sure nothing explicit etc appears on the front page of the site so bear this in mind when tagging threads!

I hope this will add another dimension to your browsing experience allowing you quickly view topics you might like directly from the main portal page

All feedback is appreciated (good or bad)

It looks awful stuck at the top of the portal page imo, really spoils the look. Put it below the "recent threads" or the picture at least.

lol mate its not staying there dont worry about the positioning just for now its there just so it was easy to spot to begin with.

EDIT: sorry should have really said that. It will most probably be going on the right hand side in a box. Its in the middle at the moment so its easy to spot to begin with

Thats fine then, it looks silly with "rotate td04" at the very top, at the moment.

Ive used sites like torrentz.com and they use a tag system. Basically the more items that get tagged with the same word the bigger the word grows so there are two items with rotate td04 it will be bigger than other words.

Its handy if you dont know what you are looking for just click in to some popular words and start having a nose around

Yeah I can see it being handy and especially usefull for new members.

Very useful and should help new members and people looking for info. Should also help with threads which have been covered lots popping up

At the side of the page it'll look sweet though, a lovely feature imo

Tag Clouds are a bit controversial though lol, while they're undeniably handy in some cases, they can become a bit of an eyesore quickly
