Well guys was at my first rolling road day in a starlet gt there and i was pretty happy with my figures and was a good experience. I am running a td04L using a custom mild steel manifold and decat with a buddyclub cat back exhaust system and currently only using a sard fuel regulator and jam fuel cut defender as management.

The following results were at just over 1 bar (16psi)

215.8 BHP
197 HP at the wheels
186 lb ft torque

Ill get the graph posted up as soon as possible but havent got a way to put it up at the minute but it seems pretty smooth.

What do you guys think of the bhp and whp? am i right in thinking that is a pretty good whp figure? Cheers for looking.

you mentioned that when you first installed it you ran it safe at 0.6 or so till ypu got it tuned. You said that it wasnt as quick as your ct9 but now that you have your setup, is it quicker/better?

yea it was only boosting 8psi before and now its around 16 and it is a different car completely, ct9 at 1 bar goes well but in my opinion it does not compare at all to how it drives now, would deffo recommend td04 as an option to anyone upgrading.

thats good, the reason i asked is that im running safe now aswell and it doesnt feel as quick as the ct9 but im waiting to it RR'd and hoping it changes and it looks like it will

looks good mate, very minimal transmissions losses tho

hmmm, tdo4 setups 2nd hand are only £500ish, hmm very tempting lol

Your @fly power seems low considering the ATW result. Unless they calculated the WHP?

Exactly what i was thinking, although is bhp not calculated using the whp figure? If so should the bhp not have been higher? Everyones transmission losses were quite small from what i could tell. Not really sure how it works though to be honest lol either way i am very happy with the results, just want to understand them a bit better.

Your running just over 1.1bar boost with a TD04l tubby on standard internals. the car may be feeling great now and your having fun, but i dont expect that to last. good luck with future mods.

Its peaking at 16psi boost in higher gears which is probs very close to 1.1bar and im pretty sure thats safe considering fuelling is spot on with no det and on an engine rebuilt not that long ago, considering loads run hybrids etc at 1.1 and 1.2bar and see no problems i dont see why i should experience any, especially considering how i would normally drive the car.

you would squeeze about 10-15ish more outta a good engine management.. but its a fine result for ur current mods

low that is at 1.1 bar, mine made 240 at 16 psi, what its like on the road is what matters though

What whp did you make though? was it more or less than 197 as i think that is a better basis for comparison as bhp figures are sometimes a bit crazy when you look at the whp.
