Temp gauge

Done the head gasket, when I put on the ignition the temp gauge went all the way to the top with the engine stone cold, anyone see this happen before? Cheers Shane.

Check the spade connectors that connect to the thermostat housing. Make sure nothing is damaged or shorting out. Could just be a bit of damage on the wire or coincidentally the sensor has failed.

Probably this, did the same myself last weekend lol.

There's two and if you mix them up that gauge gets the wrong signal.

bad engine earth, happened to me once and replaced the one of the earth cables on the engine side and it fixed it

Sorted, was just the case of switching the two wires, thanks for the help.
