This doesn't look like a PCV valve

u sure u ain't just getting a little condensation most stainless exhausts do this from cold start ! and if uv started and shut it off a heap of time there will be a bit more than normal . have u had the car out for a run ? dose it clear ? is it ok when warm ?

Last pics doesn't work! Ask your mate to drive behind you and try to push it hard so he can see behind you if you have any excessive smoke or not! Do you still have your cat on?

Have you replaced the pcv valve yet?
I'm With Mark, could well be condensation, is it as soon as you stop driving or after a couple minutes at idle? Mine use to be the same and when I took my old exhaust off there was a good bit of water had made it's way into the backbox!

@ep91steve: pardon my bluntness (& the sucky video quality :D lol) but that defo looks like condensation to me. stainless exhausts tend to do that a bit when the engine is cold/cool. also, it appears your external ambient temps are low (for instance, on a cold morning) thus making the exhaust seem steamy/smokey which is also perfectly normal. the reason i say this is because of the way the 'smoke' tends to diffuse and disappear into the surrounding air a lot quicker than smoke would. it seems a lot more unsettled which is consistent with behavior of steam.

i wouldn't worry too much about it. perhaps you could report back to us on what happens after you've gone for a spin and have warmed up the engine a bit and you also have slightly higher outside temps.. does it still 'smoke'..? :)

@ep91steve: as i believe was mentioned already somewhere in this (or another string), this is normal when the engine hasn't warmed up to optimum operational temps. at what revs do you get the puff of smoke..?

New PVC valve, no symptoms off hg, compression test good, no major oil in ic pipes and no oil seeping from dect or turbo

ok. something i've seen people overlook is the vacuum and return air line plumbing. not sure how your engine bay looks atm but do the pipes off your dump valve (assuming you are running stock) and crankcase breathers feed back into the air intake track/manifold..? i've seen this as a minor problem that allows the engine to let some oil back into the intake during heavy running since the engine is likely to be venting some minuscule amount of oil during heavy revs. this then goes into the intake and is burned off which then creates some form of smoke. i could be wrong but it's a theory i've proven myself since i re-plumbed my air lines and vented them all to the atmosphere and the smoking stopped. could be the same for you i suppose.

these pics were taken a while back of my engine bay when i was scheming on where to place my oil catch tank. these were test modules at the time. the breather that used to vent to the dump valve now vents to the atmosphere. in this shot with the tmic taken off, you can see the plumbing from the breathers. it's just my setup and different things works for different engine configurations..

sweet! :)
it does help .. a bit. will continue to scratch my head on what could be causing your symptoms.. :|
why did you remove your crashbar..? :( fmic too big..?
& please loose the tie-wraps holding the rad on.. whip up some brackets, bend into shape. drill bolt holes and snap them on.. way safer than tie-wraps coz the rad gets ridiculously hot and could melt those off..
