i used to use yokohama a048's on my mini for trackdays, etc, you can get them in three compounds, soft, medium and hard, i could only get the medium compound for the mini, but they were great once warmed up, and i managed a few trackdays on them, i only put them on for trackdays. so yokos get my vote.

Personally i would opt for the Toyo r888'proved very good on track and at drags. good longevity in both disciplines as well providing your not an animal on the burnouts at drags.
Dropped over a second off lap times on the local track with them and 60ft times at Drags were very very close to that of a set of Hoosiers i purchased later on.

was a place called tyredrive.co.uk

was about the cheapest around i could find. something like 52.99 each. was told there would be around a 3 month wait because of mass backorders from japan on these. but had a nice email saying they'd been dispatched 3 weeks after ordering them.

they did say they were probably one of a few places to get them in the 195/50/15 size i bought and said to recommend them to anyone who wanted some. but just checked there website and they've gone up quite a bit (supply and demand probably) and google shopping now says camskill are cheaper by a couple of quid per tyre but depends if they have them

Tim :)
