Tricky electric windows question

Hey,

Ok so I spent the day removing electric window motors from my ep82, what a hassle but now consider myself a pro in removing them!

My drivers side window is now working to a acceptable standard, the passenger window on the other hand isn't...

Ive tried two different passenger motors and they will only turn one way, by that I mean they will go up but not down.

I have absolutely no control from the drivers side passenger switch, just the passenger side.

So basically, why is my window motor only turning one way? Too much of a coincidence to be two faulty motors. Is it the switch? Dodgy electrics?

Wiring looks likely, but it could also be the drivers side switch as well. You need a friend with the same car so you can swap bits over to see what solves the problem.

You can also put 12v directly to the motor once you have It out. Reverse the polarity to the motor, if it works in both directions with direct current then it's the switch.
