Trying to find a petrol tank = Feeling suicidal

Hey people, for the last 3 months ive been trying to find a petrol tank for my starlet sr as my current one hates me and is leaking. I eventually got one 2 days ago - yay - but no, it had a different sender unit which meant it wouldnt fit. Does anyone have a starlet sr, sportif or even a glanza petrol tank with a sender unit that looks like this:

The one that got sent to me looks like this:

the second pic is no good, but who knew? i had to find out the hard way... Really hoping someone can help me thanks!

the first one looks similar to the one on my 4wd ep85.
the second one looks like the sender and fuelpump setup on all the GT's ive ever seen

Why not just weld the leaking one, canister of co2 and you'll be grand haha

well i asked "JAY" and he said that there are 2 kinds of glanzas and they have different tanks... something like that i think lol but it wasnt the guy who i bought it offs fault, I asked for a glanza tank, he sent me a glanza tank lol

most tanks are the same mate.scour the scrap yards mate.would one from a none turbo ep91 do ?

haha, you've been paying attention to the old man!lol. if you are really stuck mate, i would be fairly confident the mckeowns dismantlers in ni would hav a tank as they have a few starlets for breaking

Remove the tank and fill it with water before welding it.

Yeah buddy, that would do, I don't really mind what car it's from as long as it fits and it can hold it's drink lol

I have no idea buddy, I thought that every glanza tank would fit on it but obviously not, unless you could take off the tank and check if the sender unit is the same and it is the same shape overall then i would have no clue lol thanks though
