turbo play

So I got the turbo off with the help of a mate to send away n get refurbed due to a smoke issue but theirs no oil in the pipes or anythin, infact they r dry! Their is some side to side play and a little bit of in and out.. mostly noticable on the intake side..
Worth sending away?

This unit has a history of rebuilds.. 2008 and 2010..
I'm actually glad u think its a lot of play.

Do you honestly think it's worth wasting your money having that turbo rebuilt again. Personally I'd give up with it, throw it in the bin and get something else.

It wasnt me who got it done and it was a company I've not heard of before so this is going to turbo dynamics who I'm sure will do a better job

Who was the company that had rebuilt it before? Was it the same company that rebuilt it in both those years?

Its turbos done it mate both times! My turbo got picked up today and is on its way to turbo dynamics, fingers crossed!

The rebuilds where all done prior to Martyn buying the car.

I was told that these CT9 "copies" affectively are bollocks and will need a lifetime of rebuilds compared to getting a standard CT9 converted into a Hybrid. Id say aswell Martyn thats alot of play!
