Hi mate as far as I know you wont have to pay anything at UK customs you will have to pay whatever taxes your country applies to the arriving items, if any.

if you send something from the us to uk you may have to pay customs in the uk

if you send that package from the uk to bangladesh you may have to pay customs in bangladesh

You will have to pay duty on it when it arrives in the UK, unless you get the sender to send the package as a sample or gift.

You possibly will have to pay customs, I once sent about 900gbp worth of gauges to UK and the buyer paid about 40gbp customs fee's. Even if you mark items as a gift it wont make a difference if the value on the item is true and above a certain amount that the customs office has set. I have been sending things for years and actually most countries have a similar value set to determine customs fees and then from that amount percentages are worked out off the value noted on your package.

£4000

5% duty = £200

VAT at 17.5% = £735

Total cost = £4935

-----------------------------

what some US companies do to help their customers is to put a small value on the package and relevent export forms with their courier/shipping company

and then tthey have a shipping insurance policy with a different company that covers the FULL value of the goods rather than the small value put on the actual package
