I'm looking at installing a UR fender bar.

Does it involve welding or drilling into the chasis?

The fender bar has 2 point onto the door hinge and 1 into the engine bay chasis.
How do I remove the door if I have that in? I need to cut it back out? :O

i can confirm this as they required welding on my 91 and joel will be needing to weld them on his 91 too.

@Guard1an: i can see where the frame links to the door bolts but how does it latch onto the car on the part that seems to head to the suspension top-mount. is that the part that would need welding..?

The picture was taken from Ultra's website, as i can see the front part is welded to the car and painted to avoid oxidation.

I was looking at the Nagisa Auto Gacchiri Support Front Fender Brace, says only compatible for the ep82, but are there really gonna be any differences to stop it working

Not sure about the Nagisa ones, but the UR ones do need welding at one point. Not exactly a "bolt-on" item. I suppose most people won't have a welder handy at home, or qualified to do the job.
