uprated fuel pump with jam ecu ?

It will be fine, a good idea to change the fuel filter as well as thats the thing that Jam recommend doing when using one of their ECUs.

No it will be fine fuel pump doesn't control amounts of fuel just transport from tank to injectors :)

Not entirely true mate. It depends on the system pressure. The higher the pressure the less fuel the pump can flow. It also depends on voltage, the higher the voltage fed to the pump the more it can flow.

Most won't need to worry about this anyway as the 255 lph uprated fuel pump is good for upto 550bhp.

my understanding is voltage is controlled by ecu and pressure is controlled by fue lPressure regulator so fuel pump has no control but maybe im wrong ?

Your right the fuel pump isn't controlled. It is fed direct 12v from the fuel relay. As soon as the ignition is switched, this bridges the relay and provides what is supposed to be 12v to the pump. The only thing the ecu controls is the injectors (aftermarket ecu's vary).

If you look at aftermarket fuel pumps, such as Aeromotive, you will be able to find graphs of fuel pump flow against fuel pressure and fuel pump flow against voltage :)
