I have done these projects a while back but i saw another car today on done deal with my old bumper. it seems to have been passed around a lot so here goes.....

First was the varis bonnet. this turned up cheap but it was totally destroyed . At the time i didnt have the money to buy a new one so i fixed this. Sadly no pics of it at the very start.

thats a close up of the front corner after i begun to rebuild it.

This is after i begun to put filler on the fiberglass, in reality most of this was sanded off completly, as the fiberglass was too "high" so using a serious sander i borrowed, the surface was nearly all fiberglass and no filler which was great.

on the car testing it out.... god that was a long day now that i think back at it.

When it was finished.... not too bad eh ;)

I also made this front bumper. wanted a varis one but couldnt find one then

more or less finished.

Also made an adjustable spoiler, turned out well i might add. check crofin`s new spoiler time thread for info....
whats next? Well i got a jam spoiler today, might make it adjustable. Stay JDM yo!

haha, somethin tom`s could only dream of ;) cant wait for results.
when u r doing the bumper , my advice is to put expanding foam at the back as the fiberglass doesnt really want to stick to the plastic, it essentially strengthens it up a lot.
and when u doing the center bit, put some foam down before the fiberglass (just a thin strip), you will use less matt and resin, saving a lot of weight....

ya wont be for awhile but i have plans for it opperating with the brake lights.. brake, spoiler goes up... then a seperate dial switch for the servo :)... i used 2 small pieces of wood for a base at the number plate cut out, worked grand.. just bonded the wood with epoxy resin.. havent filled yet tho.. great to be able to do these thing ourselves.. you should make more of those spoilers.. alot of people ask where i got it

Awesome job on that bonnet!

When it was painted did you use epoxy or polyester based paint?
