waiting in line ?

Well last time i went to santa pod i was in my old n/a corsa. What do you guys do when waiting in line for the strip ? do you start car up few mins before you get to the front so oil has chance to warm up or what do you do ? Would love to know as im going on saturday and dont really know how to go about it ...

well you want the oil warm and turbo warmed up, as you dont want to be nailing it from cold, but then you want to try and keep the intake as cool as possible - to be fair this is only applicable on hot days (30plus! and for drag spec cars).

Start the car a few cars from going on.

this will let the oil and water temps get up to a normal operating temp.

Also after a run, open the bonnet to let the heat out. Works wonders.

Just make sure you are not cooking the car or letting it run cold.

few of min run big power cars on strip, civic turbos, corsa turbos etc

most of them just push up until like 2 cars from the go then start it up, if its a hot day take some ice and put it in a plastic bad on pipe just before throttle body for a lil cooling

I'd say you just turn your engine on, i dont think that the ice works, ive heard this very much but i also heared that it doesnt work... If you want you can try it.
