warning light problems need sum help guys !!!

hey guys....

does any one no why the engine light keeps coming on when i put my foot done in 3rd gear there is no light in 1st an 2nd it started when i put in my front mount intercooler

have been told that the car is over boosting dont no if thats true or not .

so i have ordered in a gizzmo boost controler and walbrofuel pump and up graded activater hks lol also installed a fcd

any feed back would be great thanks

get boost gauge and see what its boosting at. not suppose to go past 0.85 as thats when fuel cut occurs which is dangerous if you hit often!

sounds like your hitting fuel cut which is at .85 bar as above.

how is your boost controlled? adjustable actuatr?

am i wish driving the car

getting the boost controller high pressure reg and activ and fuel pump fitted next wednesday in a place called east coast customs in lisburn n.ireland

sorry mate i dont understand a word of that.

So getting a boost controller fitted next week?

if so they need to set the boost to .8max, unless youve got the mods to take it above fuel cut.

ihave ordered the parts and getting them fitted next week

my car at present has front mount intercooler and hks fcd nothing else fitted until next wednesday is the car still safe to drive

dawney wat mods have u on ur car my light comes on and stays on i havent a clue what to do hope by putting these few parts on will sort it out the garage am taking it to next week say they will set it up

right so you got a fcd wired in and running?? if so what number is the dial turned too?

im wondering if it needs cutting a bit more after fitting the front mount.

Jus a front mount bought it already on the car

no boost gauge wired in yet the number on the fcd is well it says cut and norm.

cut 4 and norm 10 so wat ever that means

i bought the fcd of east coast customs they fitted it 4 me its an hks one

with the hks one yes, as it leans it out, the jam one you dont unless your running above fuel cut.....hes running a hks one, so a rrfpr should of been fitted when the fcd was set up and the fuelling checked...i just hope no damage has been done.

just what boost you running?? as wondering if its just creeping up to 1bar in 5ht, but running less boost in other gears...

As far as i know mate i bought it the way it is the fella i bought it off told me it needed a fcd but i jus never botherd!

Ill have to check what boost im at normally im new to all this but wen i put the foot down in fith its 1bar how do i check normally??

Im just wondering if your boost gauge is over reading slighlty and 1 bar is around .9bar which would be around the fuel cut area, which would make sense.
so fitting an fcd and rrfpr would prevent this...thats presuming its fuel cut.
