Huh? I could only find 2 sizes for 14" on there website:
205/55R14 85V and 225/50R14 89V

Thats also pretty cheap.
Where can I get those?:)

Ah I see now. UK has got different types as the .com website.
Do you think that a 14" rim/tire in that size would be the optimum for the track, or would 195/50 R15 be even better?

Depends on the width, 185 is ideal for 6" width, any larger and you'll probably want 195.

Sidewall height isn't a big deal with these tyres because they're very strong and reinforced and you won't get much bulge.

I stayed with 14's to avoid any rubbing and avoid the excess weight of 15" wheels and larger tyres.

What do you think of the difference in width between 185 and 195? I'm used to good 195 summer tires on 16" wheels. I'm thinking about using the Sparco set I've got for the track. There the same size as your track wheels 6J 14". At the moment they've got 175 Dunlop Le Mans LM702 tires on them and those are supposed to be pretty good street tires. a bit narrow tho, but in a to good shape to throw in the bin:homer:
Now I've never actually fitted them (I was waiting on smaller nuts) so I've got no idea about the grip difference.

My car can't be lowered that much so don't have to worry about scraping.
What do you think:
Would the current 175 tires be good enough to wear out on the track or would they just be to narrow?

Would there be a noticeable difference between 185 and 195 for semi slicks?

175 seems a little narrow. The competitors on the Daihatsu forum suggested 185 would be optimum for my setup and 14x6J wheels. They also suggested there would be more difference in moving to a softer tyre compound than moving to 195 width.

The problem isn't really to do with scraping, its more the camber that the car runs with. Wheel angles and lean are significantly changed and at full lock the 185 tyres are almost touching the inner chassis.

If you're a little heavier then I would go with 195, but a soft compound 185 should perform well. My car probably weighs around 700-750KG and soon to be less. Massive tyre contact and weights isn't really a need for such a small car, it's stiff so avoiding any increased weight on the front area should help keep understeer in check.
