If there's an exsisting topic then please remove this and i'll slap myself on the wrist.

More to the point if there isn't:)

As above, what camera is everyone using?

I have an Olympus SP 570 UZ - bridged camera.
20x optical zoom.
10MP

Recently i've been thinking of getting a Canon G9 or if I can streth my budget a G10. Or even an additional extended budget to fund a bad boy DSLR - Canon again.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 - don't know any of the foofy lens details but I know it uses a wide-angle Leica 24mm lens, and for a point shoot its quite extraordinary, with the capability for RAW format pictures and such, and the lens is pretty fantastic too, especially for low light situations. Crappy optical zoom though, only 2.5x

Need to get some of the optional filters for it, maybe even the extra-wide angle lens :eek:

I got myself a bridged as I didn't think I was competent enough for an DSLR, heard all these rumours they are difficult to grasp bla bla bla.

After 2 weeks of owning my 'bridged' I regretted not buying an SLR right away, infact now I got to spend money again for an upgrade. Should have moved from compact straight to SLR, oh well, we live and learn.

@cornish glanza - your scenic pictures are awesome as per my comments on your threads.

Cornish could still pull me with his "gay" scenic pictures :eek:

:eek: hehe

DSLR + RAW + Photoshop is the way forward for sure!

You do need to learn the basics like aperature etc to really start geting the most out of a DSLR but can still be used like a point and click with no problems!

@addz - cheers buddy :D
