what gearbox can i use

im trying find out what gearbox i can use on my 4efte ep82. can i use a 5EFHE or a 1600cc box not a 1300cc

I'm sure any of the box's off an e series engine will fit but your better off with a gt or glanza box as there stronger

The 5EFHE has only a single pinion diff so they tend to go under power, there is a 6 speed box from a Corolla G6 that can be fitted, but the bell housing needs to be changed over with a C series box.

try sourcing a gen 5 tercel box i wish i could source 1 ere in europe !!!!

The tercel c51 box is weaker than the ep82 c52 box. Your best bet is using the c52 box that was made for the 4efte
