Spent the day watching youtube vid's and all the yanks go on about is rice and ricer, what the fuck do they mean?? I take its slang for a type off car but not sure what contex they mean it!!

In the US they call JDM cars simply 'imports'.

A lot of people refer to these imports as ricers.

Mainly thou I think the shitty kitted ones with neons and the like. Basically like the Corsa's over here :D

its 2 do with japanese imports that look a bit chavvy yes, its said alot for hondas because thats mostly wat americans have and they badly mod them but its not actually for hondas, but for all jap cars.

its mainly the jealous big block americans that get owned by smaller jap cars and get angry. the rice part is due to being japanese etc cant remember why tho

To put it simple, any pos car that ppl slap on useless crap to make it slower. Eg. Toyota altezza lights on a Honda, wtf? Ebay chip, wtf? Mustang with the ugliest body kit of life that actually gives it less aerodynamics, aka drag. A ricer is defined as a tuner that does not know jack about tuning, +100hp when you slap on an air filter?

Just because you got a turbo car, doesn't mean ur not a ricer.

Ricer is a term used mostly by yanks in the muscle scene that describes a person who drives a japanese car with pretty much no performance mods to speak of but loads of garish bodywork, stickers, rear wings etc to make it look "bling/pimped" yet in a test of performance would get left behind by a robin reliant lol like many chavved up motors we have here in the UK, Also ricers often get into JDM cars through the films like fast and the furious or only know about drifting since tokyo drift came out, when asked about any technical aspect of a car they are absobloodylutely clueless!

Yeah the term RICER does get abused somewhat by ppl who dont even know the real meaning of the word, they think anyone who drives JDM is RICE!!! Give your mate a slap and point him to the urban dictionary for some education hehe:haha:

I have a toyota v10 supra with 20 turbos in the front with a ford f450 rear with 6 wheels and aircraft wings with a turbine jets so i can fly around the world!!! Its a new concept I designed for Honda's new line up. LOL
