If the ring and pinion gears don't mesh properly then it's likely gear teeth will begin to chip off. If the pinion gear is chipped you'll need another output shaft, so you'd be best off rebuilding a turbo box and swapping your diff into that.

hmmmmmmmmmmm not what i wanted to hear! but your last comment kind of circled around the point im trying to make, i bought this box thinking it was a turbo box and turns out it isnt so why should i again shell out for another rebuilt box when this is down to the mechanic i bought the box off in the first place

Totally agree with what your saying, but it's probably too far down the line to do anything about the box you bought a year ago.

hmmmmm bollocks!!!!! he fucking done me right over, was sold a 'glanza box with 250 miles on it' turns out its an n/a box that he had for 5 years!

Its so hard to tell from the outside what sort of box they are, you are not even guaranteed to be getting the right box if you buy it off a car as it could have been changed before the owner had it.

I think I might say to Jay about doing a detailed outer comparison on the model boxes, see what we can come up with.
