I'm on a 3g internet key, i don't think this is bad.

Thats very good, I struggle to achieve over 700kbs down at work. Thats in castleford though so HSDPA is not available.

Ye, i'm on "3g" it drops to HSDPA then you notice its a bit slower. About half signal at the mo, depends where i am in the house.

lol.. well we're lucky to have the fibre optics guys expand their network across all of our province.. they first started some 5-10 years ago with connecting the uni with fibre optics almost straight to the amsterdam internet exchange (ams-ix).. that was quite remarkable for that time.. now it is giving all the adsl/adsl2/cable/broadband suppliers a run for their money even better, all my services are on that single fibre channel, radio, tv, telephony and the innanets.. its even cheaper than all my previous subscriptions combined

The fibre optic cable is virtually limitless yes but the technology to convert the different wavelengths of light into digital signals at the other end is where the problem lays.
