I very much doubt this but the dark stuff in your hand remind me of canabis resin.

(I do not, and have never smoked weed/taken drugs, but i know people that do.)

But people do drill holes in the bottom, maybe these would roll over the hole to stop it dripping out? Doubtful.

Im sure with a long screw driver you could prise the fuel cap open easily.

The balls are ment to be contained in/around the filler neck. Stopping someone putting a pipe down there but still allowing fuel to pass. Somehow the device has broken and the balls have made there way into the main part of the tank. Hence why the car hasn't always made the noise. Also explains why they are hard as they need to be resistant.

I bet they are drugs, someone had the ellaborate idea of setting up a Jap Import Business as a front to a much darker drug importing businnes. They then started importing Glanza's from Jap-land with petrol tanks filled with the stuff. Watch out, whoever it belongs to may come looking for you...it probably has a huge street value, in the region of £2-3 million...your no longer safe, LEAVE, NOW!

Laughing aside an all that! This seems the most legit explanation........but why some white and others brown!!?

I bet you he never has a problem with the fuel pump clicking off. I think the balls are the thing that makes the pump think your tank is full when it's not.

And who knows about my hairy nipples? The reputation thing is being abused.
