Didn't know if I should mention it mate. Certainly a freaky one. Telling ya, we should go ghosthunting some night with the camera phones.
It's sitting on my harddrive ready to scare the bejesus of of young Cole and Idrees..:freddy:
can you TOTALLY obscure the person in the photo, the only bit im not happy about is using their face without permission, just paint shop white out their face/body, but leave their arm and phone in place?
its 100% legit folks!
edit: on the topic of it, I know a place alright, but it would involve a breach of security fencing to get in, also a house that got abandoned, but no one - not even gypsys - can get inside, they get to the door and have to turn back, think its a bit too hardcore though. things like that can follow you, they thrive off peoples energy.
Where I live - near islandmagee, is steeped in mad stuff. It was the site of hideous ethnic cleansing around early 1000ad, and again in 1600, but the worst hauntings all happen around Red Hall in ballycarry.
Last year I decided to walk home from a mates after I had 2 beers, I was quite sober, jober as a sudge infact lol (jk)
it was about 3am and late in the summertime, so daylight wasnt too far away. Its a 6 mile walk and I decided it would be nice to walk it for the experience. As I walked along, the weather was typical, like a wind tunnel as its treelined, and drizzling mildly.
Approaching red hall, I started to walk faster, as I know its a bit mad. upon levelling with it, the rain stops, the wind stops dead, and I felt like I was surrounded, I stopped dead, and then ran like lindford christy only wished he could lol! there is definately something up with that place!
Years ago, my girlfriend at the time had a rather affluent father who rented homes out to people. This particular one was on the doagh road near nortel in newtownabbey, and people would never stay in it for long, until one fellow stayed for 3 months. This particular night, he knocked on the door saying he was leaving, and had had enough. We poked him as to why, but he laughed and said we must know full well he had company up there. Puzzled, we asked what he was talking about, and he regaled us with a tale of a man wearing what appeared to be childrens pyjamas, would stand at the edge of his bed night upon night, watching him as he lay in bed. He told us that he was not afraid of such things, and that he was quite ofay with spirits, but apparently this one turned physical. It was emptying his cupboards into a pile on the middle of the floor, and opening the downstairs doors, as if to say "get your stuff and leave".
We gave him his deposit back, and his last weeks rent as means of apology.
The next week Ian and myself joked about it, and eventually egged ourselves on to go and stay. So the night came, and we armed ourselves with the auto trader and top gear mags, and ordered an obscene take away to be delivered at 11...
needless to say we over ate, and woke during the night in a panic as we didnt want to fall asleep, when we woke, the doors were open, and the cupboards were all flung open. being empty there was nothing on the floor, but we got the message all right.
heres the twist. Ian held the front door key, tied on a piece of string to his belt loop, and I the same, only the back door key.
The doors were locked with the keys from the inside, and the keys were both in our pockets.
Go figure.
Glynis, his wife, was fascinated by the occult, and started to ask the neighbours about the people who lived in the house previously.
It turns out it was inhabited by an old couple who had a child with serious mental impairment, who grew to be of middle age. He never left the home, and only health visitors and family came to see him. It turned out he had a huge seizure and died one night in his sleep, and his parents were too broken hearted to stay, so packed and left, and promptly sold the house pretty much intact, appart from the furniture in the bedroom the 'ghost' lived in.
When my exs parents bought the house, they totally gutted it and modernised it. Apparently the ghost was merely upset that he'd been left behind, and that his room had been changed!
Imagine sleeping in that room knowing a spirit was resting in it with you!
I have nowt to loose by telling this story, and I accept not everyone will believe, but there you go!
