well my completly stock dc2 type r takes my mates 275bhp audi s3 (remap/milltek/filter)
but surely that cant be right can it? my cars over 80bhp less than his????

it can be right dan as its not all about bhp! because it has more bhp means nothing , his s3 is heavier and its the way you drive it that makes all the difference at the end of the day! so a 180bhp starlet being lighter should be able to take a type r !

ummm no, K20= 2 litre
They aint all that they are cracked upto be.
I know a boy with one and his has a B18 bottom end, rolling roaded at 213bhp.
My GT was on his bumper around this big roundabout and we booted it on this by pass a bit and he was hardly pulling from me, probably started pulling just after 3rd.
My car only had a mani, decat and actuator at .8 bar and I was hitting fuel cut a bit so that was giving him an advantage

i really cant see how a 180bhp glanza with a shit load more torque can be any slower than a 185bhp ek9 heavier car with less torque?

ek9's are great cars. they are fast but not as fast as people think. i have 2 mates who own them and both off them are exactly the same pace as my car, my car is running 162bhp. the thing is tho both the ek9's are on rails wen it comes to cornering, the starlet doesnt get close!
so mildly tuned starlets will def keep up, but in my experiences put a few corners in the mix and you will struggle without some good chasis mods!

yeah exactly, a 180bhp should see off a stock type r, as it is lighter and it has more power (than a ek9 type r)
the advantage the dc2 has is its gear ratio's, aswell as having far superior suspension setup to a starlet, and LSD as standard.. people seem to forget that type r's are designed for track and twistys, not for 1/4 mile straight road drag racing

I must just have the fastest EK9 in the world. Every stockish starlet is keeping with 200+ EK9's
I think i have a bit of deano syndorme.
Cor some of you need to realize that you cant race 1 or 2 of that car and thats it. That car suddenly isnt fast. lol
Dan, you're EK9 is 1% quicker than all others! That's the only explanation I can come up with! :haha:

you need to have a decent driver to pull out what the 4 efte have on offer as you are a good driver so just standing against someone with no expiriance in drag racing annd beating him then say the type r is quicker is not good enough or to make it fair 1st make 3 runs with your car then exchange cars and see how it will go that way you might find yourself beating your tegra with the starlet if ur driving it!
