so 180bhp ct9 glanzas/starlets arent able for type r's
Mine is only running 12psi with Ct9 b and a zisco mani a fmic and stand alone ems, dont know whats the bhp but it can beat an ek9 easy (its on an aygo i know so what it still weigh as much as a GT so its not the weight)

I havent read through the whole thread but to answer the first question in the thread THE IS NO WAY IN HELL A STOCK EP WOULD BE ANYWHERE NEAR AN EK9 RUNNING 200BHP/stripped with the 1.8 JDM type R lump.
I have this set up, 1.8 engine running around 200BHP stripped rear and im running 13.7 up the quarter. My car will/HAS DONE hold a 180-185WHP TDO4 starlet all the way.
Thats not chatting poo poo as there are many on this forum that come out with us that know my car and what it does. So i can assure you, just trust me on this one the guy was either talking out of his bum hole or he couldnt drive for shit.
Im not starting so please everyone back off before you start laying into me, im telling you FACTS not fiction, nor opinions. I dont really care, im just making you aware, the race you had didnt add up at all.
Stock starlets get left so far behind its a waste of fuel. And thats not taking the piss. I wish more people were honest. this is how certain cars get a bad rep.

A CT9 hasnt got enough to match it. Look at all the UK boys on CT9 and see what theyve run on the quarter mile to give you an incite.
You will need a TD04 on good map running at least 1 -1.1BAR to match it. Proven many times.

if a td04 cant handle it then the hybrid wont either regardless of the quicker spool up time

Im not so sure about that.
As said if they are around the figure of 180WHP then it will be close/good match. Which i think there has been the hybrids making that sort of figure at around 1.2BAR. DUBSEVEN made very good power on his. With headwork though i think.
The 1.8 engine works so much better with a massive increase in torque over the 1.6 its almost a different car. Your up straight with 30lbs torque and i made an extra 28BHP by just swapping the engine. Doesnt sound much from 1.6-1.8 but god there is a HUGE difference.
