Its not all about straight line though, put in a few corner's and the type R would of easily pulled away

agreed the type r with LSD is a monster. My mates keeps up with my other mates m3 round the bends. Then the m3 is off on the straight of course!!

Ek9 with basic mods filter exhaust etc vs Ep82 GT with Filter and exhaust, Ek9 was quicker, so a 1.8 at 200bhp should have left you for dead.

yeah i have a ek coupe non vtec with just 60mm lowering springs and it an animal in the bends compared to the glanza tbh i dont feel 1 bit safe in the glanza in the bends it is on standard suspension but all the same its suppose to be a hot hatch like:rolleyes:

what speed did the car's reach on this straight?
Starlet with decent mod's could maybe stay with that type R til 70ish but then the type R should pull on

Get some coilover's in there! Glanza standard suspension is scary! Lol

Have tein superstreet's in my car, great setup but far from pocket friendly, 1200euro!
Got them from Couture auto in Maynooth, they do BC SPORT'S coilover's. Not sure on price but definately cheaper than the superstreet's

Maybe he was a shit driver or maybe the "tune" he had on the civic is actually making it slower than faster - which can happen in alot of cases when you mess around with cars.

was it a jdm ek9? could have been a none type r b18 lump. you would get your ass handed to you if it were a teg type r b18..

well my completly stock dc2 type r (b18c) eats my girlfriends hybrid ct9 ep82 at 10psi, and karls glanza when it was ct9 @ 1bar with front mount/exhaust/filter..

if it was in an ek9 it would be even quicker as its abit lighter..

so it doesnt make sense this chaps stock starlet was evenly matched with a ek9 with a supposed b18 motor?

gotta say aswell that i love these honda hate threads :haha: they start off all innocent but always progress into a 'starlet vs honda' argument :haha:

Exactly thats why the threads are stupid :D I know also that if the car he raced was what actually that he would of got raped, but if he hadnt posted that up I wouldnt of had a little laugh so all is good
