think if the compressions shot it can cause overfueling. mine is overfueling aswell. backfires more than usual aswell

what a waste of good engine work. would have been better to be totally classic lookin on the outside compared to lookin like its had some bumpers off random newer cars stuck on.

if you get a compression test and it shows fine then you could have the same problem as me mate. been told its ringlands on the pistons and my catch can looks like this... but im not loosing to much oil. i do about 300 miles a week and its still near full so yours could be piston rings...

id go for toyota coolant mate. 20 quid for 5 litres. be better than some halfords stuff :P

all of them :P. start at 120 or 240 and work your way up to 1500 or more if you can get it. when ya go up a grade tho make sure all the scratched from the previous grade are gone tho if ya get me cos if ya get to 1500 and theres still scratched left from say 120 ul never get them out with 15...

i just meant that he could use the manifold he was using currently whereas with the td04 it would NEED to be changed. agreed with the later comments tho that it should be done properly if done at all.

the hybrid route would be alot easier and ya could get 220 from that with decent management and then the usual mods. if ya got a tdo4 your still gonna need a mani and downpipe and injectors and iv probably missed some stuff hope that helps some. owell i was to slow :P

well as far as i know iv taken care. was just basing that on a few other people experiences aswell as mine. fixing a problem then another one pops up.

im goin to tonight. im thinkin the guy who done my compression test might not have tightened it much. and i have new plugs here too. problems seem to come in bunches with these cars lol. be a relief to get my n/a back on the road for some reliability :P

my ht lead is coming off the number 1 plug ( far left ). could that be to do with the excessive pressure cos of knackered pistons or another problem all together. i do love problems. Russell
