Stupid question but you have the grey wire connected to the handbrake? At least I think its grey and I'd say your right about the turbo timer I have an Apexi in mine and it shuts the car off when you release the handbrake

I'm no expert but wouldnt copper be bad as its like a conductor for heat hence the reason why its preferred in home heating systems and the whole idea of an intercooler is to cool your intake charge

This was done year's ago with a Renault 5 gt turbo 2 turbo engine's and if I remember correctly it beat the crap out of everything on the drag strip I say fairplay to the man and I cant wait to see it finished it will be very interesting he's obviously a talented mechanic
