Dreeeeams can come true.........................

People need to understand that outside UK cars are twice as fast.

I just read his trap speed, there's no way 175bhp in a 1000kg car will get you to 104 mph. He's either lying through his teeth about the ET or he's actually running a lot more power than he thinks he is...

mybe put up specs like its a 5e engine running a ct9?????????:haha:

I think some of the ppl wwho owns fiat r dreamers ma mates got a coup and thinks its faster than a new evo that does 0 to 60 in 4 secs but is same sentence tells me he will only do it in 6 secs lol 300bhp and only manages 6 secs that's bad

13.5 with 175bhp is believable.. Finx ran a 13.7 on a CT9 at standard boost, would have been under a mid 13 with a better track surface.

What does a punto weigh?

Good tires on a hot day and I'd believe it without any convincing.

are you having a laugh? ct9 standard boost?

Good luck trying to get a starlet to do much better :p fwd cars are generally traction limited to something around that time on the street.

Full interior, no weight removed at all actually. It's an EP71 Turbo S so it weighs something like 50-80kg less than a GT, lots less than a Glanza.

Not that hard to believe, few people around that have done 13's on a 4e/ct9, this is a high compression 5e-fhe with less weight.

Back on topic, a starlet with 175bhp can do a 13.5, a punto (especially that punto) can't.

Have you got any more details on your run Ted?

Of particular interest is your 60' time and trap speed, with 4wd and an aggressive launch you should be seeing something under 2.0 and with 200bhp should be running mid 13's.

I've seen a well launched 4wd EP95 get down to a 1.6 60', with that sort of time you could potentially be into the low 13's at your current power levels.

Billybob, it's not black magic. There is a science and some basic maths to a 1/4 mile run that you're obviously not aware of. For a given weight and trapspeed you can work out power and vice versa. For a 0.1s saving on the 60' you can realise 0.2 or 0.3 off your ET.

Maybe it's just that you guys can't drive to save yourselves? :p

:haha::haha::haha:its just that Ted runs 12s now mate ,yes he does know how to drive, funny you say a 200bhp car 4wd should run mid 13s and a 170bhp :haha::haha:ct9 runs 13.7

I dont see why poeple cant face the facts that the maltese/jamaicans are doing these times.

Instead of posting useless crap why not keep it to yourself and let others learn of the way they are doing it?

Dont see why people can be so stubborn and say its not possible even after video proof is given?

For anyone who doubts these facts why not have the balls and get your cars shipped over there and have some runs yourself and see if it makes any difference to the times in the uk?

I for one have put my money where it matters and will be building my next project based on info from fatman & keith (killamats) and hoping to build an 11 sec gt.

Oh and billybob in the uk an 14.1 run was done on a stock ct9 on 4e before.i dont see why a 5e on stock ct9 cant do a 13.7 run.

It wont be possible rumel as billybob hasnt done it.

Even though iv only been on the site for less then a year it seems things are changing on this site and people not trying to learn when they are in dis-belief and ruin ot for others who want to learn how it is done.

Remember the thread where a person got 204hp on a stock ct9?

If people can provide proof i dnt see why we cant believe them or if in doubt try it yourself.

Thats what im doing...i was in doubt at first to build a high spec gt that "may" achieve an 11 second run based on specs i was given by fatman & keith....even if i dont get an 11 sec run it doesnt bother me as it will be a learning point for me but with the specs im going for im preety sure i should get an 11 sec run ;)
