Heres another quick video, bit better as its more still but was still swooping left turn, not straight, but hay, you get the idea...

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kc0Dp_J-F-A

I dont think its bad at all really, Probs realistically similar to a 180-190BHP GT starlet driven properly.... 1st gear is very fast, but weather has been poor so cant show some....

By the way i do have a few mods, its not standard

MODS:

Engine[/SIZE][/B][/U]
Apexi induction Kit
76mm cold air feed with trumpets
Apexi exhaust system
Resonated Decat
68mm ERICKS RACING throttle bodie
SPOON ECU
Fidanza 3.5KG Aluminium lightweight Flywheel
Air conditioning removed
Spoon resevoir covers
Blue NGK ignition leads
Red Autobahn coolant hoses

probably around 10bhp up on power and about 30KG reduced weight so, not really "stock" as such....

I thought you said it was fairly stock! :p Looks like a fairly serious list of mods! My GT would spank it! :p (jest)

because realistically it has exhaust with 3 silencers, intake kit,and lightened flywheel to free revs up...

Throttle bodie pretty much does F all, only really does when running higher Horsepower,

and spoon ECU is just a revised map that lowers Vtec point and smooths out vtec transition point and also raises RPM limit from 8600-9100RPM..... Power wise feels a bit more, not much ...... the all round delivery and drive of the car is alot better then when it was stock but straight line performance hasnt exactly rocketed up...

Seriously, i wouldnt look to much at the speedo and judge souly by that how it goes...... The speedo is accurate to mate, if doubts i would gladly get video to show GPS speed too... Starlets speedos are always about 8MPH out at 100MPH, my EK is like 2MPH out at 100.... Trust me mate, it canes stock starlets, but when they are running around the 180BHP mark its a very good race..... You really do have to just trust me lol.....

But yeah its quick enough for a second car with mild breathing mods...... Not breathtaking though :haha: but a good fun drive...

no offense intended but it looks and sounds pretty boring.

Maybe get a track video up and show the handling or something.

You say you didnt do much but every bit count! i didnt do much to my engine either just a fmic and it fly past ctr's there was only one that gave me a good head to head race and he had removed the cat and had something done to the gbox so what bhp am i running? cos i have stock ct9 setup on 7psi which my autogauge show as 10psi and a mr.turbo ecu.

As i said, it made a nice difference to the feel and drive to the car but nothing major in acceleration, a bit more yeah i suppose.....

A FMIC is going to doing nothing to straight line speed in a stock engine running stock boost.....

your car is very light for a start, not only that the CTR you raced wasnt me in my CTR so i cant really comment on that.... You could be anywhere from 145-160BHP easily if your on 10PSI.....

oh, i am now, ive decided on it.... Next step is to build starbo and keep this pretty much as it is for a while..... Just need money to rebuild now, so i have ALOT of saving to do....

I love both the cars, both are really enjoyable in their own right..... I love driving the civic around, lovely interior, looks, mint, fast, good on fuel, great handling.... Cant really knock to be honest, but i really do also miss the starlet, me and that car just have a special bond lol!

dan if it were me id keep the civic as it is, and use that as the daily runner (still has abit of poke) then throw your money on the starlet :drive: its been off the road too long and think its about time it comes back out to play :slap:

oh i mean these are just my opinions also, but yeah ive driven the EP3 also and feels lame compared to the EK9, the EK9 is a lively little car.... If it was boring i wouldnt be driving it after being so used to driving my GT, i needed another fun car and this ticks all the right boxes, for me.....

fishy have you driven an S2000 then? if so whats it like?

yeah but those little changes didnt feel much more on a straight but they made the pickup of the car faster.

on mine the fmic did a big difference on mine as i had no scoop on the bonnet to cool it and when changed to fmic the car was flying!

My car is not that light its 810kgs and im another 90kgs so that would be 900kgs

i dont know how much bhp but when it was setup on the rollers it was 135bhp.
