I thought elephant didnt insure Glanzas? Just GTs, is that not true then?

The reason i only asked for Glanza members is because im pretty sure the GT wouldnt be a problem to insure and it would be cheaper so i was just interested in people who own Glanzas :) But still, if you have a reet good price and you own a GT then why not post.. worth seeing if theyre as good for insuring a glanza.

Thanks for the list of companies wee-jo. edit - iv already read that thread before :) I found out in there that Sky have restrictions on certain areas and then PMd Ollie and found out you need 2years exp and 2NCB if you live in Leeds.. but gonna still try get a quote closer the time.

I'll try confused.com but im sure sites like this make up their prices. I'll see what comes up online now.

Elephant do not insure Glanza's, they used to show 1996 GT turbo i think a year or two back but even that isnt correct.

GT's are alot easier to insure, I could of got one insured for £800.. but opted for the glanza.
Maybe in a few more years Glanza's will appear on more insurance companies books lowering the price.. who knows :)

To be honest mate your best of ringing up. beleve it or not with these cars speakign to two different people at insurance companies can result in a different price.

I hate speaking with companies, but with Adrian flux they were at least english based... un like other companies that ive rung and couldnt understand what they were saying!

Good luck

wind your necks in you bunch of girls,

gt's and glanzas cost roughly the same to insure, except glanzas arent on many insurance company's books, so some like to charge a premium for this reason.

when my white gt got written off, i was phoning round as i was thinking of getting a glanza and the qoutes were the same for both, this was only a year ago. i decided to go for a gt again though because i found one that made me go wow.

and yes with www.brentacre.co.uk, you need to phone them up.

It was a £300 difference for me when renewing this year as I was quoted for a GT by accident, I'd say thats a sizeable amount.

Yeah, neg rep for my post sx_turbo is the best contribution to the thread congrats!

In every quote I did a GT was at least £3-400 pounds cheaper to insure than a Glanza.
Hell I could of got insured on a GT at 18 for the same price as I pay on a Glanza now...
Maybe in very specific cases a GT would cost the same as a Glanza (I.e, parked in a really bad post code with no alarm ETC) but 98% of the time there is a big price difference.

I cant see how you say 'wind your necks' in, the guy clearly asked for contributions from Glanza owners, my post was meant as a joke towards the GT owners who consistantly post in threads where glanza information is required.

Liam then said hes happy from contributions from GT owners too after my post, and I said I was only joking...

Meh..

Might as well add my 2p since I am about that age.

I am paying just under £570 with all mods declared I think (paying monthly so it puts the price up a wee bit) with Chris Knott insurance. I am 22, driving 5 years and 4 years ncb.

Paul who I spoke to was very helpful on the phone and too the time to have a wee chat and explain certain things about the way insurance companies work and so on which I found quite useful for future reference. I was also told by him that since I was referred to them via a club scheme (CRX-UK forum) they would beat the price Flux gave me as I ended up playing the 2 off against each other and they did by about £35 and with a lower excess too.

I was origionally going to use Bell but they dont insure Grey imports so I assume Elephant/Admiral don't either.

There was loads more but it would probably take me ages to type up some of the stuff he said so maybe another day or if there is a specific question.
