The plug and play is straight forward but time consuming. It can be a hard fought battle at times.

The cut and splice requires some wiring skillz to get your head round but to the average joe like me it's a head melter. Would take less time and you can retain your current interior/dash.

Before I forget, add the 4EFTE fuel pump to the list as well. Knew I had forgotten something.

On the safety front brakes should be upgraded to Turbo-spec immediately. An often overlooked item is the one-way valve on the brake servo pipe which is a safety feature on the turbo models. This vastly improves brake response if braking hard immediately after or during boost. As a rule, the rear drums don't do enough to warrant immediate replacement but a rear disc conversion is a great upgrade both practically and visually.

if his car is an S or a late spec UK, the front brakes will be the same as the tubby. (won't they? :homer: ) if your car is an early spec NA you will need GT/Glanza hubs to fit the late spec calipers (as i had to do)

regarding the one way valve, good thinking :) but worth pointing out my uk spec servo has the one way valve built in to the takeoff nipple on the servo unit itself, so i didn't need the inline one. :)

i thought these were the same? i know of a few turbo conversions using the NA pump no prob at all.

if changing the pump i'd go for an uprated one like the walbro (personally)

The 2E pump needed upgrading when doing my conversion but the JDM fuelpumps should be the same for turbo/non turbo.

Just covering the bases Dubman, remember I haven't dismantled a Glanza S yet so it's best to left looking at it than be stuck looking for it. ;)

absolutely mate :)

this is what i've found with NA's

98 onwards uk spec have the same front brake setup as turbo. 96's like mine have an ep80 style setup which will need new hubs too.

i'm pretty certain Glanza S share the same front brake setup as V's

i would upgrade the fuel pump as a matter of course anyway but personally i'd fit a new one.
