4wd ep91- how would you go about it?

not a bad price considering a quaife is 600.

You should get onto phantom grip, see if they can make a phantom gripper to fit the stock diffs!

That was for a rear diff, front would be more.

To be honest, I think a front would give better performance gains than a rear.

as regards lsds wheelspin in an ep85/95 just isnt an issue. its a light car and gets power down easily. but as weejohn says to launch like an evo and do 10s an lsd would be ideal.

there are plenty of ep85s over in the auctions but many are 4doors as mentioned or automatics. over in japland these would have been bought by farmers/mountain dwellers so most may be a bit tatty.

we recently found aftermarket bits like kyb sr shocks and zoom lowering springs for them(must have been old stock being sold off) on a jap auction site so some people must have modifyed them.

2 door sport selection or x limited manual the ones to buy. forge it for the ultimate sleeper.

Yeah tbh I wouldn't bother a diff myself as it launches and handles spot on just as it is, a front diff would be one to get tho,
Any of you cut out and welded thy torque box bit in the prop, been thinkin about it recently

will cause more transmission power loss in the dry mate. thats the good bit about part time 4wd, you only have to drive the back wheels when you need to.

have a look on yahoo japan auction site theres loads on there aswell as zoom lowering springs. think they work out quiet expensive though and you might aswell buy coilovers

what model of kyb shox, there are five different versions for the starlet?

yea a front lsd would make the car supreme, scouting about to see if anyone will consider making one.

i put in "ep85" on jhd japans translated version of the jap auctions

here they seem to only be listed for cars made between 90/8~92/1 though

springs

the part numbers on the lowering springs are the same for the ep85 and ep95

I am pretty sure they only made the EP85`s from 92 to 95, just under 3 years when you look at the months.

I would love to know how many Starlet S, 5 speed manuals were made in total.

was looking at toyota rear anti roll bars today for the ep85, gona get one to mock up a thicker rear bar from and there are three to choose from, one discontinued

one from 1990-1994 £120

two from 1994-1996 £107 /

soll, xltd, s

is the s the sportselection model john?

No Enzo, the sports selection had a higher spec than the S, they had an electric roof/windows/mirrors and remote central locking. For some reason mine has electric mirrors but not windows or central locking!

I dont know about the rear bar, but the front ARB on my 1993 is definately thicker than the front one on the 1995 sports selection Trevor brought in.

Do you feel that its loose at the back Enzo?

You must use the sport selection one enzo,...holes are there but not drilled and tapped. You will also have to change the front one to a sport selection one....it's way thicker.

ps not everything will fit the easy way...but that's why they invented custom:rockon:

not particulalry john, maybe right at the limit yea, but the car has way too much understear, just like an ep na but worse.

ive approached british springs ltd and they are mocking up some thicker rear bars for me,

anyone else interested in a thicker rear bar?
