I know what you mean mate, thanks for the taking the time to highlight that - I understand there are a lot of problems with translating in these things, so its not always 100% clear what is being said (after translation)

If you wouldnt mind, could you perhaps u2u me anything you think is valid and related to this?

i have to go here, but i'll be on later tonight.

my only other question really is that infidel(enemy) is anyone non-muslim(only saying what it says in the dictionary) or apparently a better translation is an unbeliever or one of no faith in mohammed. this isnt true then?

now if your book encourages war on the infidel, and it would seem that is all us non-believers,

thats where i have the problem, and thats what islamic extremists use to encourage young men to kill for their religion.

i dont see much point arguing on but i believe the qu'ran was and is used to encourage people not only in battle, but also in random attacks on innocent people/infidels(gauged as enemies by the qu'ran)

^i would agree, but i feel its being slightly mis-used, i personally don't believe it has been written to cause this...

I think i'm going to have to dig a copy of it out and have a read at it myself, been meaning to do it for a long time...

And on a final note, I think that people have had a chance to say what they want to say, and now it may be time to put this one to bed. After all, it started out to remember, and is now a discussion on religion... Also, there have been a couple of people asking for it to be closed, so I think it's now time to do so...
