RIP for all of those who have lost their lives as a result of september 11 and may god be with those of the families who have lost loved ones through this tragedy...

Im not getting into a debate with anybody but i just have a few comments to make George Bush is the closest thing to Adolf Hitler the world has ever seen. It is only a matter of time before the Americans start World War 3 but then again they love going to war, IF there government are behind 9/11 then they are sick twisted people...

That picture of the man falling is just amazing, he in a strange way looks at peace with himself perfectly placed.

It wasn't just Americans, there were people of all nations working in those towers - an attack on the world. The time has flown - I was 16 watching those people fall out the towers live on TV!

But a reality check here a THOUSAND more people (Soldiers) have died in Iraq than those in the towers, and for what reason? Bush.

RIP to all who died

I came home from school and flicked through all channels (1-5) and just saw planes and towers and was like wtf? Then I went through all the channels again and News was on every channel and thats when my mum told what had happened. Then they explained what happened the next day in school in an assembly, man 6 years already I can't believe it. I've just walked in from college and 6 years ago I walked in from Junior School round about this time, time goes too fast!

same with me.....walked in from school and went up stairs....turned on tv and then found out what happened.....i was scared at the time really as i thought my town was going to get bombed....(i know its extreme...i was 10)

yeh thats true, his body movements (when you look at the whole sequence of pics) is so calm and relax, he made the choice that he would rather die that way. Very sad :( RIP

i think it needs said.

dispite the bush situation, the people on those planes were Islamic suicide bombers,
taking glory from killing the infidel.. the koran encourages it. its a fact. please dont argue its true.

You Sir, are talking utter bollocks. The Qu'ran does not in any way, shape or form, condone taking someone's life in cold blood. It's the media's constant attention to these "Muslim Extremists" that gives Islam a bad name. :flame:

nice to know you think that.

as long as u agree that these muslim/islamic extremists exist i satisfied.
no big deal, i not interested in arguing what the media concentrates on, after all, all the media does is print things to sell.

ive read decent amounts of the Qu'ran, as i worked in a religious book store for a few years. im aware of what it says, the moderate passages even calming passages, but the extreme passages do exist.

i have no interest in arguing.

Such as? Give an example...

Slay them wherver you find them

seek your enemies relentlessly

fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it.

if you die or be slain in the cause of god, his forgiveness and his mercy would surely be better than all the riches.

of course you can intrepret this in different ways.

and i know monkfish you want to voice what ever your opinion is, thats fine.

last quote is
Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you

i will gladly stop posting on this thread as i have nothing against anyone, and this will not doubt escalate into im a racist or something stupid(remember we are talking about religion not race)

i have nothing against anyone, and feel no need to have the last word.

You can also argue that the bible condones violence though. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. But you don't hear about Christian Extremists plotting terrorist activities.

yip like i said you can intrepret these thing different ways.
the eye for an eye was from the old testiment, were capital punishment was in full swing but in the new testiment(modern days teaching) it says

turn the other cheek.
and let him who has No sin cast the first stone. in other words dont do anyone any harm for you arent perfect yourself.

I've certainly never read anything like that! Those quotes are out of context anyway, where did you find them?

Religion sections are a very bad idea on the forum Jay. There are far too many opinions, theories and nut jobs out there to warrent a decent topic. It always ends in arguments and I'm surprised this one hasn't been binned/cleaned...

Surah.

no aggro from me i hope.

i think that 9/11 was an awful day, a tradedy for everyone involved, people who through no fault of their own found themselve facing death that day. sad.
i hope that the regilious convo hasnt taken away from this thread for their memory.

as for monkfish, u sound like a decent rational clever guy, and u have your beliefs and i respect that, and that you dont agree with me.

Fairplay.
