Alex says hello

I finished the engine swap! I'll post some picks 'n' flicks as proof. It's running but as you can hear in the movie, idle RPMs are fluctuating as hell. Somewhere between 1200-1800 RPMs. I've used the Search function on this forum, so what I wanna look at is the vacuum lines, air in the cooling system, and the ground on the transmission box. If you have any more suggestions after hearing the engine run, please let me know!
I also spotted an oil leak, which I hardly doubt is coming from the front crankshaft oil seal, so I'm gonna have to take off the timing shizzle again :( That one's really hurting my head as it is nearly impossible to get to once the engine is mounted... It's the "nearly" bit that's keeping me from giving up!

Enjoy

Good to see this machine breathing Alex, great work!

Check out www.toyodiy.com for diagrams. Not too many folks on here are fluent in EP70 but we'll try to help if we can.

sounds like an air leak to me mate, check all your inlet mani connections, great project by the way.

Welcome along.

Wasn't quite sure what a 'frontcut' was,
until I saw the pic,
and it's literally cutting the front off lol.

The problem was indeed an air "leak". I still had a vacuum switch for the airco connected, while I took out the rest of the airco items. running smooth now. Still finishing off some small things before it's road ready! :)
