Anyone ever had a really silly moment behind the wheel?

Suppose I can admit to a good one at Kirkistown..

On the first warm up lap exiting the second corner @ 50mph when my steering locks up suddenly.

Fucking turbo timer.

Keys in pocket.

Brown stuff everywhere...:haha:

PS. Mine would be spinning my GT twice in the wet going around an S-bend, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic and smashing into a signpost (as opposed to a brick wall about 1ft to the right.) Was a massive lol!

Driving home a few years back after finishing some night work not paying attention and looking down sorting out some tunes, looked up just as i was mounting the kerb on the other side of the road. It was 3am so noone around.....luckily.

2. Overtaking a car at a shit slow speed got to the side of the car i was overtaking, noticed another car coming on the side i was now on, thinking i could make it easy. SO instead of pulling back i carried on overtaking and only just by the skin of my teeth getting in........ i shit it and by the look of the oncoming drivers face they did as well.......

I'm now a lot older and obviously don't do things like that anymore....:haha:

Trust me, that's mild. :haha:

That one actually amuses me when I look back. The rest I'd rather forget.

OH! I got another one from when I had my Punto. Mate has electric gates at his house, he put in the code to open them and they started to open. Me, being a cool dude, decided to reverse out of his drive and try squeeze through them as they were opening. Like most people I was seriously hungover. Anyways, I didn't fit and scrapped the side of my Punto on his gate. lol

First day of driving my mk3 fiesta I took my mates fence clean off! forgot I had it in gear, lifted foot off clutch and it shot forward a fair bit before stalling leaving my mates dad in a rage.

In my Renault 11 when I had just passed my test. The accelerator cable got caught on something and it opened the throttle full. I know its easy to just put the clutch in but I had about 2 seconds of shitting myself with my brain going overtime to try and work out why I was getting faster without any feet on the pedals. Stupid renaults, but now toyotas do the same thing.

Well I was cleaning my engine bay a year ago and took out the air filter and fix it back without paying attention it was having contact with the battery borne. The following day driving back, without having any problem in the morning on the way to work, got overtaken by a workmate who was yelling at me there's sparks coming on the asphalt from my car, then realized fumes from the engine bay and car knocking a lot. Got out open to find out wires burning and small flames...had to tower the car back home after and do the wiring again. :shoot:

I did the old driving the wrong way up a road :( at ladymead n guildford was turning right and ended up going up the wrong road at bt 2am, eventually slid around and took the right road.

Or when i was learning, turning too early into a road and crunching the side of my mums car against a gate! then thought it'll be fine in a minute and carried on....mum wasnt too happy and made me shell out a few quid for her!

Done so many that im always thankfull that nothing bad has happened and someone must certainly be watching over me.

I once drove through a light on accident (there never use be lights there and i was on auto pilot from the old road layout)

And i have managed to drift (and recover) my GT on a roundabout that scared me too death!! Was the main reason i did a skid pan day shortly after!

When we last had a decent amount of snow I thought I would show off my drifting skills giving my Mum a lift into town. 8 o'clock in the morning, still half a sleep on the first corner that comes out of my street going downhill....."Watch this Mum!!!"

It would have been the best drift ever if I had 20 more feet.

And there wasn't a kerb there.

And someone with brains was driving.
