More noise then power?
Its pulling hard on an evo running 22PSI of boost? I would say thats a fair amount of power...
You would be surpised to how a K20 Civic would fair up against a td04 GT running 1.4 bar.... I think it would be a good match!
Its how they put the power down, not all about power to weight ratio

Yeah thats the thing, the numers don't seem to match up. When you look at them on paper, a 275hp Starlet should win everytime.
It has to do a lot with getting off the line, but a B18C Civic took me on the QTR
Due to my shit start...I was catching him, but ran out of run way I did smoke him with a rolling 3rd gear race thou...Not sure what the hate is with certain Honda's. They are better handeling and better built cars than a Starlet, thats a fact.
Obviously I will miss boost and it may be hard driving a 'slow' car for a while while saving for a transplant but oh well.
It's going to cost me so much to get the Glanza where I want it to be and I have spent enough as it is!. Just thinking of starting again with another car.
Anyway, I'm still undecided, you know what I'm like!
I really do love my Glanza, but little, little things keep annoying me and I'm getting pissed off.
When it is being a good girl, I love it, love it, love it! Great fuel, good handeling, very fast..
I just don't know

Mate, I'm 100% up for that. I want a ride in one before I make any decisions.

Ive had a blast in a K20 powered CRX, was damn funny, and quick to boot.
It runs around the 250bhp mark if memory serves me right, and runs into the low 13sec bracket.
Bearing in mind, we dont have an FIA approved track with track bite thrown down.
Runs about the same as my TD04 powered Starlet, but im sure he has run quicker before.

@gee, Mate it really is NOT slow even in stock form! Drive one yourself, on your own on a spirited drive on roads you know very well, Its far from a slow car! And its not like ive come from a slow car myself, my GT...... If you drive it and say its slow or a slow drive then fair play mate, what can i say.....
Its not a 270HP starlet thats for sure, but you try and catch it around some good twistie roads, different ball game..... If you want a drag car i would go turbo mate, N/A will never be quite enough unless you run it on alcohol or Meth on a crazy tune that blows up every other race lol......

K20's are pretty quick. Personally i would never ever sell the starlet over a civic. Dont get me wrong i love EG6 SiR2's not fussy on the EK's though. My mrs wants an EG6, plan is to buy one for her and then sneak a drive now and then, wouldnt have a civic or any honda for that matter over my starlet. Not in a mile.
Go for a B18 lump, and turbo it if you must.

Just go for cam's, high comp. pistons, forged rods, skunk2 inlet..etc lightened and balanced bottom end. Would be very quick.
And the noise is f*cking awesome, theres loads of civic's down near me, they sound epic. Anyone ever heard one with a buddyclub spec II or Invidia exhaust....mental sound.

I know Type R's are not about straight line mate, just want a little oomph if moving from the Glanza thats all.
Oh and where can I borrow an EK9 to boost around roads by myself?
if you were near me i would lend you mine for a batter......
I do see what your saying about you want some more poke going from your glanza, but it really is a cool car to drive providing you are prepered to go all out with it from time to time..... Driving it normally isnt the most entertaining i must admit.....
I do miss that big turbo feel thats why im concentrating souly on putting my GT back on road...
Ive never been in your glanza so dont know what its like but if you love it to bits and the power is extreme for you then i wouldnt sell it for an EK9 unless you were going ALL OUT on the EK!
