Would be breaking the Glanza mate.

I know the Civic will not be as fast in a stright line, but I am trying to look at other positives.

I want some more modern, comforable, great handeling out of the box, nice interior, better build quality etc.

If my Glanza was stock, it probably would of gone already, but I have put so much blood sweat and tears into it, it is hard to make a decision. And then there is the speed, its just so dam fast.

Unless the EK9 just TOTALLY dissapoints me, the Glanza is most likely to be going.

gee, when i bought my civic with plans on wacking on a big ass turbo bws366or gt35-40, drove the car around abit and is a great every day car, drove to york about 300miles and a fairly fast speed;) the whole way there 4up on one tank, was liking it so much just lost interest in blue 4wd completely:mad:, untill i starting spending and fitting new parts to it, BUT i feel like i have wasted all this money on the blue one when i could of done the civic, am still going to turbo the civic and want atleast 500whp with a gt35 but will not be ready untill 3-4 months untill i save up,

just dont test drive one and think that it's slow, because it will feel like that until you get on a twisty road then it willl piss all over the starlet:rockon:

good post gary, very very true.....

May feel slow at first until you have your wicked way with it.......

Faisal.......... I reckon you are a great honda hater in general.... 300BHP supercharged EP3 being wank? How would that be wank....? I would say not to your own taste, wank is soo worng as they have great torque, very good speed and superb handling....... I had a go with a 300BHP supercahrged EP3 with my GT and the response was great and dam fast! rolling 2nd he kept having me, 3rd i was bearing down(naturally) But was faster then most over cars i was put up against....

Gee, My own personal view, as i said, i do and would miss the turbo power from the starlet, so unless you were turboing the honda then i can see you missing the glanza after a while....

What ever you do though i hope you dont regret anything mate....

Gaz,

Wow. And you have a car I envy! 5EFTE AWD! Dam! :D

True thou, if you spent on the Civic what you spent on the AWD you would have something mental, but they are different anyway, one is FF and one is AWD.

Faisal,

Not heard great things about the EP3, not one I would be buying anyway.

Dan,

Fuck it, life goes on. Seen people on EK9.org moving from STI's, Evo's, Pulsars and Starlets and they still highly rate the EK9. Yes, will be slow in a straight line, but oh well. Look at my Glanza..you know I will get the bug :D You know, even if I do miss the Glanza, which I probably will, its only a car and I still have a very good base to mod from and is a better car all round except for straight line speed and the boost feeling really.

Rang my insurance company, said they could not insure me on an EK9 because I said it was not modified, LOL. My policy is a special anything goes policy based on power and unlimited mods, so told them it had exhaust and wheels etc and got a quote more or less same as my crazy modded Glanza, so insurance wont be a problem.

Oh and guys, please keep it constructive. If you drove a Honda and it did not appeal to you, please don't say it was 'wank', please give your reasoning as to why you came to that conclusion. Please, please not another Honda vs Toyota.....

Its comments like "piss all over starlet" that turns these threads nasty and it would be my thinking that the person who wrote it is looking for a reaction from members on here which if thats how he gets his kicks is pretty pathetic really.

Gee you seem to have really set your heart on an ek9 before even driving one... get out there and have a drive dude and see what you think. The DC2 I drove was owned by a guy I used to work with and after many weeks of dropping hints he asked did I want to take it for a spin, I couldnt wait to drive it. Took it out and it was boring... I never looked at Hondas in the same way after it but again its down to personal preference. Get out and get behind the wheel of a few and if one grabs your interest go for it man.

hmm ive seen a k20 eg6 running straight with a 280bhp glanza...
they are damn fast and a k20 in a ek9 is even better too
Gee mate just consider it as a car the has a little more overall performance than starlets allthough its not gonna boost! damn the boost feeling is unique...
anyways the k20 civics are rly fast and comparable (speed-wise) to a td04 starlet but......
no boost.....

Dylan,

I know, I know..hopefully a guy is coming over this weekend so we'll see. Having issues with the Glanza at the moment too so makes me hate it right now.

MentalEP91,

Thats how I am trying to look at it mate.

Id say for the amount of time you have had the Glanza and the amount of power you have run through it its been pretty reliable but I am the same mate as soon as I have a problem with my car its like "stupid damn car!!"

To be honest, the things that piss me off are minor, not major things. In all the time I have owned it, first is the first time it has let me down. Anything else was my own fault or a stupid modification.
