Autobahn S/S Manifolds

Toby any rough ETA on the manifolds? I know speedvisions are meant to be available end of the month (iirc)

since you know which metal is good and which is not, why make mild steel manifolds, which are vastly inferior even to the 304, but their only saving grace is their wall thickness. why not choose to produce a quality item, built by 321, rather than impress the crowds with low prices on manifolds that deteriorate internally from the heat, sending death particles into their turbos?

Purely as members will not be prepared to pay £800.00 + for a CT9 manifold. Ours are not cheap, there double the price of the AB88 manifold which "is" cheap.

We would love to produce s/s manifolds in 321 but no one would buy them Alex let's be realistic. Most don't won't to spend more than £200.00 on a manifold yet alone near £1000.00! You have to be realistic, it's all good and well saying lets produce a quality manifold in 321 but when the cost is more than some GT's cost do you think they will sell?

For over three years now people have been having problems with s/s so making a product that won't crack is hardly impressing the crowds, it's being realistic using the most suitable materials. Why do yo think Dale, WEPR and Speedvision are all producing mild steel manifolds? Because that's what the market demands...

Agreed. There's no way you could justify a grand for a manifold. Unless your sponsored or something in which case the chances of using a CT9 or slim to none!

Sorry I didn't mean to come across like that you know me I always try to be diplomatic but that's really how it is. If we all had cars over 10k then it would be a different story but we simply want to make a manifold that doesn't crack, removes the restrictions, serves a good purpose whilst not costing the earth. They will be near £325.00 and the profit margins are small as there well made, we simply want to provide a good manifold that lasts as I for one am sick of turning people away saying we can't sell them a s/s manifold.

They then buy one somewhere else and have problems so it would be nice if we can actually offer a good alternative..

321 stainless steel is a very good metal for exhaust manifold, downside is that its really expensive (if i remember right about 40 pounds a meter) plus it aint really easy to work with.

I have got a stainless mani grade 304 made it myself with a brace between the head flange and the turbo flange for nearly 2 years now and it hasnt cracked once. Oke it doesnt look very nice anymore because 304 gets contaminated very easy but it does its job wel.

In Florida we use schedule 40 mild steel for our manifolds and we have not lost a turbo because of this. In fact I have a mild steel manifold on my Corolla for over six years without any problems and I had it ceramic coated. On my 5EFHE I used high temperature paint on the mild steel manifold, no worries.

Autobahn88 Manifold?!

Just wondering is anyone using one of these and if there any good?
Suppose it wouldnt be hard to be better than the stock manifold anyway

they havent really been tested yet matey....people have them but theres no news about them yet....i have one on the way

I just heard of them today! I have the autobahn fmic and its alright so the manifold probably do the job too!

hey lads give them man a break once he puts order in it out of his control he is just waiting the same as all of us if there is any probs dont beat about the bush give dave a call there might be a prob with ure order
