yup not very clever, and as you know by now has further consequences down the line, could have been worse. just count your stars some one didnt get injured or worse & you still have your car & a chance to redeem yourself.

its people drink drivin that causes it 2 go so dear and racing on roads

yup we all do it

but id imagine u wont be insuring anything bigger than a 1.0L for a while lol

in the long run u shouldnt have done it anyway

if u cant do the time dont do the crime

i understand both sides of this arguement, drink driving is damn stupid, and doesnt agree with me at all, i cant stand the idea of it. but then when you think about it, speedings just the same, the only difference is consciousness, when ure drunk ure not really sure whats going on, when ure sober but ure speeding you think you know whats going on, but the car still wont stop in time for that guy who didnt look to cross the road...

I'm sure you wouldn't be saying that if you or anyone you know had been hit by one!

I live life not to judge on every circumstance that ive personally been touched by.

The guy in question didnt hit anyone i know and this isnt the time or place to start slating someone about it. Its a forum, he asked the question, so i believe to just answer it.

Drink driving is fucking stupid beyond imagination, i know because ive done it back in the day(way back in the day) when i was a little prick that didnt think about much about what i did but as i said this is not the time or place.

He just asked a genuine question. He'll learn his own lesson.

1. how much were you over the limit.

2. have you been brought 2 court yet.

3. if so. how long were you put off the road for.

4. bring your licence 2 the court house for the endorsement cause if you dont, when you get back on the road the 3 year endorsement still stands untill the date you get your licence stamped for the endorsement... in otherwords if you get your licence stamped now the 3 year endorsement starts now.. people think they get away with it cause they dont get a letter or anything 2 say bring it in 2 get stamped and then wonder even after 3 years why their insurance is still high.. do it now chap....

5. your insurance will go up 2 around 4,000 and some companys wont even take you.. shop around..

6. dont do it again.. lesson learned

drink driving endorsments stay on your licence for 11 years you do not have to tell your insurance companys about it 5 years after the date of the original offence because after 5 years the rehabilitation act kicks in, if you get done for it again within those 11 years they can hold that against you in court and will fine you heavily and put you off the road for 3 years, your best bet is to be honest and depending on your breathalyser reading you should just get the statutory 12 month ban.

Did you not read my post.

Cant make such a judgement without knowing me.

sorry to inform you but the world doesn't revolve around you! that comment wasn't aimed solely at you! i've never drove after drinking, anyone that does is a retard, simple, if that offends you, you'll get over it!
things could have been different and you could have killed someone, so when it comes to this matter, yes i can judge, as i can say i've never been that stupid as to drink drive!
doesn't matter what arguement you come up with, thousands of people have been killed by idiots that have got behind the wheel after drinking, you were just one of the lucky ones that didn't injure or kill anyone.

Slow your roll sunshine.

Im not offended at all and you obviously read my last post wrong judging by your anger/sarcasm.

Anyone that drink drives is a complete twat, anyone that disagrees needs to see sense, did i say otherwise? And yes i was very lucky, thank god nothing happened, and i would never do it again. At least i can be honest about that. Im talking about 5+ years ago.

And i didnt say you couldnt judge about this subject, i said you cant judge/comment on "me", saying that it would be different if i, or anyone that i know was hit by a drink driver. You dont know me to judge me on what i think.

My posts are not about drink driving, my posts are about the fact this is a thread about someone asking about insurance after drink driving, Regardless of weather i knew someone that had been hit by a drink driver i would still disagree with people slating the guy in this particular thread. Another thread dedicated to the subject, by all fucking means, this thread, not about that.

he deserves to be slated for doing it, as does anyone else! in fairness, if he had killed someone (which easily could have happened) would you be giving the same response?

your a fud.

i hope u cant insure anything again

lads chill out a simple question was asked not for ye to judge him no one is an angle and dose everything by the book every time so cop on and take a chill pill.

Also yes drink driving is silly but in this case he didnt cause anyone any harm and i am sure he is grateful he didnt and he got his punishment simple as and has learnt his lesson a very expensive one at that and also the shame of it too.

Also as the guys have said the ones with the input required you will eventually get her insured again but it will cost you.

If he openly admitted on a public forum that hes just been caught for drink driving + killing someone, at the same time asking how much his insurance will be effected then i would think the guy need serious help in the head. As the priories wouldn't really add up.

I know he could have killed someone but at the end of the day you have also to think about that everytime you put your foot down. He didnt kill anyone, thankfully, if he did i dont think he would be here posting what he did so would be a different situation all together.

Im just open minded about most things, however bad they may seem i try my best to see every single angle. Im just being diplomatic here.
