i know watcha mean mate, for that reason alone, i'd say the only option is an mx5...

I think i had a bad experience to be honest, the first one i seen up close was owned by a guy i would hate to be associated with... some are cool, but make sure you get the right one lol :)

really would like a white one. nice and subtle, just stock spoiler, lowered, nice drift style 14" rims, full exhaust system including manifold and decat and an induction kit. would leave it at that. maybe some viper stripes too ;););)

the only other thing i can think of is a rx7 fb but than you got rust and unrliable. You're kind of asking for a car that don't exist.
BTW you won't have rwd fun in a mr2 not unless the colour of fun is brown. You'll spend alot of time looking down the road at where you just came from.

it kinda does. the mx5 is everything i would want. just seems a bit underpowered for a 1.8. if it went a bit better i wouldnt be asking this question as m y mind would have been made up.

the car that you are looking for doesnt exist mate

if your not willing to but an old 2l turbo silvia or 300zx etc then your only option is a hairdressers mx5:homer: if you can get a decent budget then theres loads of decent rwd cars out there:)

If you want an mx5 make sure you get the early spec 1.6 as it is the best engine of the bunch. What ever you do dont get the later 1.6 as they have 88bhp compared to about 120 of the early ones.
As for spining a mk1 mr2, you would have to be doing something really silly to loose one as again they only have about 120-130 bhp but handle like a limpit. A mr2 mk1 would kill a mr2 mk2 round a track (n/a mk2 that is)

apperently this vitz rapes anything.........

I was going to say get the REV 1 MR2 tubby but that wouldnt be all that cheap on fuel or insurance... RWD and fast enough for what your looking for....

"sorry if its been mentioned as i havent looked through whole thread.....

S13 you can bag for £500.00, good ones around. All you need is a good engine sod the bodywork. Most of us have banger S13's that clip many a barrier :p

MX5's are great cars, a tad hair dressery but you can pick up one for cheap, there are loads of turbo kits available for good money and there reliable. Good cars and give you a really good feel as there so low down.

The 3 litre auto I mean't is slower than one and the manual one is almost as slow the reason for that is the n/a 300zx is too heavy and doesn't have a very good power to weight ratio where the vitz does

the s13 is too big and heavy. insurance is alot more than an mx5 for just a 2l, a 2l turbo doesnt even bare thinking about!
