memories of hell this brings up for me!! i was up on a much more serious charge and i was indeed shitting it BUT i got off with it, so do not worry their evidence doesnt seem v.god at all tbh. Ul probably laugh about it when it boils down matey. And in your defence say this:
Do you honestly think i would come to work everyday with a stereo in my car that i stole from here? u have to be pretty stupid to do so. It seems they have blown it outa proportion unless they have other evidence as ur solicitor wont know all of the prosecutions evidence as mine didnt this is why its vital to tell them everything.

if i was going to be picky i would also point out that you also spelt actus reus wrong and that together they are the most important part of any conviction.

Also that its not the cops that have to prove a guilty mind but the courts the police involvement stops as soon as the person is arrested and subsequently released, i, also, study law modules at uni

now come on i didnt say one was more important than the other, both r needed to hold a conviction.Usually mens rea is just the most tricky to prove

the police are way more involved than that!
im guessing u only study law by lectures that were in the court side
they can give very bias opinions on police involvement

the police have to interview to assess and evaluate guilt before people can be charged with an offence
people do not go to court until the police are sure they have a case
its not a case of arrest then send them packing over to court
vertually all the leg wrk is done by police officers
the courts are only there for the final step
