Differences in panhard rods ???

I drive a lot over long distances. I had it for about two years when I realized I had INSIDE left wear. It took a while to figure it out. The WL rod had bent into a slight arc, so when the suspension compressed it would pull the left tyre inward. There was no physical damage on the rod, nor could anything external bend it in the direction it was.

thats pretty odd lol

least you found the problem though :)

How did you bend the WL one Rory bloody hell never seen that before! As mentioned the RS*R is stainless and can be adjusted on the car which means its easier to setup, you are also paying for the JDM brand name.

We have 5 RS*R rods in stock that we need clearing for the next order fancy a GB anyone? Can get the price down to around £100.00 if anyone needs.

Thanks,

T

I've heard of the Whiteline makin clunky sounds but maybe that was just a one off. I have the RS*R and mine's waiting to be fitted yet too, damn I almost forgot I had it!

Toby's price of £100 sounds ace, I'd surely go for that Cole.

Ill take one as well then if this goes ahead, if the price is £100 i may be tempted to get a rear anti roll bar at the same time.

toby could you do a group buy on the roll bars or just in all the handling mods in general ?

Hmmmm that maybe going a bit 2 far, but its worth asking if he mite give a small discount on sum anti roll bars if we can get 5 people to buy the RSR panhard rods.

clunks a bit? mine is doing my nut in at the mo, the nut tens to come loose VERY easily, now i tightend it right up and lock tighted it, but now it's started clunking again, ALL the time. if i was to buy another i would definately go for the rsr. but the whiteline does the trick 2.

out of interest, what is the procedure for fitting an adjustable panhard rod? i guess you don't just set it to the standard length as it would negate any reason for fitting it, so how do you know what size to set it to? i also take it has to be fitted with the car at ride height?

the length depends on the height of the car, there is no set length.

i set mine to stock length then just brought it in a couple of and measured the gap between each arch.

i am yet to still get it all professionally setup lol

if you know the height your going to drop it or can use a tape measure lol you can do a quick trigonometry calculation and you will get the length it needs to be.

As i say though this will only really work if your going from standard ride height to something else.
