Disappointing Dyno result...?

I do have the dyno graph, but its at home, I'll try to put it up. I'm not sure how knowledgeable the tuner really is with emanage so its possible that he did not set it up correctly. There's not a lot of oil in the catch can, just covering the bottom thinly.

I got the engine imported from Japan so It had between 45-55,000 miles and I've put about 15,000 miles since it was installed in 2006.

Even without the E-Manage or any fueling mods it should still make more power.

At what RPM is the BHP and Torque figure you quoted?

Idd put my money on a timing issue.

Your in the states - the majority of people (ive spoken too anyway) always talk in WHP (at the wheels), so 144 at the wheels, so at the fly around 180-185 depending what percentage loss you use from fly to wheel.

I posted the website of the shop that did the dyno tune. I guess I will just get the compression test and try to rule things out from there, if Its not compression then It seems like it must be an error in the tuning?

its maybe a silly question, but was there any clutch slip?

If your rings were shot youd struggle to stay in the dyno room lol, you would be expecting at least some oil being burned in the combustion cycle.

are you running the emanage piggybacked off a stock ecu? have you ran it for fault codes? such as a weak spark perhaps? Its possible when shes getting her legs together the spark may be blown out

If i was you i would check the following:
1)figures are at the wheels?? or at fly? If at wheels, its around 20-30bhp you may have lost, easier to track this down compared to a loss of 80bhp.
2)compression test.....this will determine where you go from here.
3)if compression is ok - look into the emanage etc, if the results are at the wheels a large majority of the missing power could be related to the emanage set up.

Yea, I going to try and take my car in to get the compression tested either today or tomorrow. There's no clutch slip, when I had the engine installed and new clutch was installed also. I have the emanage wired up to the stock ep82 ecu.

we would really need to see the AFR curve before commenting on the setup of the ecu, as it in theory only really adjusts the fuel, and ignition curve. The only thing ive ever witnessed, was out playing about with my own piggyback. Chris discovered the stock ecu was bricking itself and retarding the timing about as it couldnt work out quite what was going on. Its not really a solution, but we locked the timing to 15 deg (7psi) and bingo, problem solved.

as mentiond before id say check your actuator and do you have and FCD/SLD with your ecu...

Just had the compression checked and its good and even throughout all cylinders. The only other suggestion I got from the shop was to try and seek out a boost leak? I don't have a FCD/SLD just an emanage blue. What should I check with the actuator? Any other ideas?
