dump valve.

hi, i recently purchased a dump valve, it wasn't a very expensive one but after fitting it to my 97' glanza v i am disappointed. it's not as loud as i'd hoped and it doesn't sound like i wanted it to. can anyone recommend a good one to go for (any price) ? i want the whoosh sound rather than the t-t-t-t-t sound if that makes sense ! lol. the louder the better.

Best bet is to get on YouTube and find clips of various BOV's. I like the HKS Sequential and have owned a Bailey's, Forge Dual Chamber and HKS Supersound and I liked the Forge most tbh but in general I prefer no dump valve lol. But yeh, YouTube is your friend! lol

i was looking at the forge one actually. i hear baily one is good as well though. gonna check out utube now. lol.

My Bailey's sounded ok, but it would stick open on the motorway and continuously leak. Very weak springs. The Forge was nice, the HKS was cool too. But you'll eventually get bored of it :p

my standard dv does that on the motorway. i've no doubt i will get bored of it but it's my first turbo car since a cavalier turbo way back in 98' and iv'e always wanted a turbo car with a bov. lol.

excuse me for being thick but i'm new to this. my glanza has no electric windows, no central locking and no glaza badge on the front. am i right in thinking i have the lightweight version ? is there a lightweight version ?

excuse my lack of knowledge.

My friend is selling a grannie scarer http://www.potn.co.uk/p76115.htm he bought it 2 years ago at £250 in anticipation of turboing his puma but ran out of cash its going for £80, maybe even less, lemme know if ur interested.

Edit: only ever used for 30mins on my car!

a grannie scarer ? lol. why wasn't it on your car for long ? is it that loud ? is it too ridiculous ? when i said the louder the better i meant.... well, u know. lol

thanks for all the replies, i gotta hear one of these grannie scarer's ! is anyone selling a good used bov, blitz, hks, greddy or anything decent at a reasonable price ?

Bailey dump valve

First mod i plan to put on the GT is a dump valve but cant afford a HKS.Are the bailey dump valves any good and do they sound nice?the other one i was looking at was the venturi version is this a louder/better or is the standard bailey one as loud?thanks
