How about posting up some videos of the innocent workers in middle eastern countries who were captured, tortured and had their heads cut off with a knife in front of a camera with the videos published online... did your muslim brothers bring these pieces of scum to justice?

All you have shown us here is that we in the civilised world will deliver justice if someone does something wrong. Perhaps you should go post this on some islamic republic sites because all they seem to be able to dish out punishment to is young girls who are seen talking to a man etc.. they have a long long way to come before they can or will handle a case like this and deliver justice.

As soldiers are selected from members of the public it stands to reason that some of them will have issues found generally within the public. Issues such as psychopathic/sociopathic behavior and many others. Of course some will slip through the net and commit acts such as those which these guys have been convicted of.

In a system where laws are made to deal with these crimes the accused must be tried within these rules. So if the jury can not reach a unanimous decision on a punishment such as death then the law states that the man will get life in prison. If it were my family I would be happy that justice had been served. The guy has got life in prison for god sake. I know you would probably prefer to see him being stoned to death or having various parts of his body chopped off but Sharia law does not apply to people in the civilised world so get over it.

As for bringing up crimes such as beheadings by cowards etc.. I think it is very relevant. Again what you have proven here is that the Western world will bring justice upon those who break the law whereas in the middle East people who chop of westerners heads are celebrated as heroes.. they will never feel the law upon them.

So... the point you were trying to prove has fallen on its arse. Your time would be better spent on islamic websites attempting to lecture them about their legal system, or lack thereof because all you are doing here is showing that people from the West are punished for crimes against middle eastern countries but not the other way round.

yup welcome them home, then their officers give there reports on duties in the field. And they are locked up for life or handed the death sentence. What would you prefer? We screen all soldiers for any genes that suggest they may have the tendancy to rape women? Or maybe something more…feasible?

you haven’t said they are wrong though have you? Yet you want us to say a rapist is wrong? Which we happily are btw! So we can happily condemn and punish the wrongs of our fellow country men and our race but you…..cant?

You see the issue here is that even if the guy had gotten the death penalty these people would still not be happy. They just want to hate on the West like their religious leaders tell them to.

Remember Phil.. if it came down to a cowardly beheading lunatic or you as a non-muslim they are taught to side with their fellow muslim which just goes to show how their logic works, logic does not exist.

I am happy that I can look past someones religion and see them for who they are. The likes of this guy who has gotten life. I dont care what religion he is, he committed a dreadful crime and we look past all of the irrelevant matters such as religion and where he is from and he gets punished for the crime he committed. In any society people will commit crimes, we know this. But I am happy that I live in a society where we recognise crimes and punish people accordingly rather than celebrating them.

I guess it says it all when a muslim can kill an innocent man and put the video out there for all to see and the muslim world sits back and says nothing. But when they executed a proven tyrant (Saddam) and a video of it emerged there was public outcry from the muslim world.

Phil if you remember a thread on here around a month ago, i admitted then "extremists" actions i dont support, but not one person would admit a soldier doing this kinda thing is wrong....

Im not looking at the resolution "sentance given" im looking at the act he did....

Freedom of sppech is the cowards way to get out of everything, and as gor dylan saying you wuld be happy with the justice served to this guy, how could you if they killed their whole family so if ti was your family you would not be alive to see what justice has done.

I dont support shariah law however i dont support soldiers doing this.

If you cant face the fact even your own soldiers are corrupt then best keep shut & not say"freedom of sppech" bull cos end of the day if they were so good "perfect" soldiers they would not commit cromes like this.

does it hurt that we can condemn him aswell as you? did you want us to argue that he was in the right? or what?

there is a very great point in blaming others and that is because they deserve judgement just the same as this rapist, he has got his punishment and will continue to live in this punished state.

why do you not like that we can say that rapists are wrong suicide bombers are wrong murderers are wrong, in general people get things very wrong. and they must accept punishment for that. or at least in the west they do.

1 - Crimes incur punishment. A society cannot stop its citizens committing crimes as everyone is an individual. A society can however punish crimes and as shown here it has done.

4 - I dont think anyone is disputing that soldiers carry out these acts as explained in a previous post soldiers are picked from members of the public and as such there are bound to be a few bad apples as there are in any society. That is life. To get a handle on the kind of society you are dealing with you must look at how they respond to matters such as these. The society involved here convicted this man of murder using their legal system. We have all spoken out against him saying what he did was disgusting. So what more do you want? He is locked up and we all think he deserves it.

The middle east could learn a lot from how this was handled.
