I have an Exedy Paddle that drags in first occasionally too. I just thought the clutch line needed bleeding..?

well from the first miknute i fitted my trd pedal my problems started gears crunching (they never crunched with the other clutch) setting was good and all the mechanics i spoke to are all blaming the pressureplate , but then after reading here im not surprised as it seem that its not the first one to be faulty ! So now going for the helix organic

mines crap, slips when u sit in traffic, and rattles like mad :shoot:

paddle?

paddle users have to remember that the paddle clutch is not designed for the everyday use ESPECIALLY in traffic cos it will wear much much faster. (as mine did) u put it another pedal after the first one but for now its still fine... probably i will be using an organic plate with the pressure plate i have if i start to notice the pedal one is slipping

A picture comparison...

I think people need to remember Daikin have about 10 different clutches for starlets, check out the UK link below.
I still can't find a comparable clutch disc between TRD and Daikin so why is the design so different ? and surely if the design is different its behavior is different ~?

lol that first disc isnt exedy, looks like an NKK disc.

Second picture is a generic picture used on all toyota models for a clutch disc.

I use the Exedy 3 puck paddle clutch everyday, for the past 2 years.
No problems here.

It also gets a good hiding every 2 weeks, either drag or track work.

Bloody hell, even a clutch lined with cork should be able to handle that :p

Just to add to the thread, im running Exedy organic and its been great. Doesn't really get abused much though :)
