Finally back on road! but.... ( pic's ;D )

After 6 months of bringing the old girl back to life, the day finally come for me to drive it again !! Still needs to be polished and cleaned etc.. few little bits sorting out. Here are some pics i took quickly today, been so busy i havnt had a chance to take some better ones in a better location:

Was driving fine for 40 miles last nite, felt great. Clutch was smooth, oil pressure & temp seemed spot on.....but.......... found out its leaking pretty bad & the engines gotta come out again. Its due to a small hairline crack in the crank where it sits in its sill which knew about & only thought it would be very small.... Need to get a perfect crank in there with all fresh seals.... plus i overfilled it with oil today as i thought i was low... bout 2 litres to much :eek: :shoot: :slap: :(

Got japshow next week & meant to be going down Newquay few days after in the GT.. :( Need to get the engine sorted quick. Will report back people :)

Thanks alot guys. Much appreciated. Im not giving up on this bitch lol.

Pics just dont do it justice... the paintwork is like glass... shes desperate for a polish. :cool:

Will take some pics of the engne bay when ive cleaned up the oil :(

thats one sexy gt - a mate of mine has that problem with a small crack on the crank - i hope he dunt have to take his engine out also . . . . .

:D Thanks for your kind comments guys. Yeah a fair bit of money spent, just not quite there yet. Few teething problems to get through, really want to have a meet. Desperate to take it for a proper drive.

Thanks Ryan, yeah im pretty happy that its finally finished (apart from the leak) but im wondering what im gonna do in my spare time now the cars back...lol

Thanks guys, i love the colour. Need to see it in person really to catch the intense purple colour in the sun!! :cool:

Hey Ricky,

Was going to txt you shortly.

Was the place called benfleet engineers? I was going to go down there today & speak to them.. & ill speak to that guy who skimmed my manifold.

Not sure about a refund, have PM'd him before about it etc.. hmmmmm
