Make up a new bracket for the actuator, so it can be mounted round a bit further, freeing up the room for a standard rad.
Wouldnt be hard to do, and im sure Pete would manage no problem.

Good luck though, should be fun when done.

Too late for that now mate.

Dont know why people bother with an external on the TD04, the gate on the turbo is fine.

Had to buy this

Ah alright mate, havent got many experience with the TD04 turbo's :)

But like rory stated, the actuator backingplate could be modifid to another position that would have cleared the stock rad.

But that civic radiator cant be really that bad can it? If they can cool the Vtec turbo's a FTE shouldnt be a problem right......

You may have some cooling issues still with that rad, i believe weejohn had one and it didnt relly improve matters, better off getting a 3 row aluminium civic rad from the states if going half size in my opinion.

Not got a date yet, want to ensure the car is running fine and that I've done atleast 1,500 miles, so I can then switch to synthetic oil.

In regards to the rad, I will have to try it and see now. Should be fine in this cold weather without boosting, but we will see.

Which make are the 3 row ones you are referring to? Got a link?

Looks like you guys did not keep your fingers crossed hard enough for me. New block runs, but has no oil pressure. Why? I dont know. Im in Amsterdam, car in the garage, looks like train and buses for me.

Fucking car, I'm sick of it. If its going to cost me more to fix it I aint going to bother. Will put standard block back in and sell it, fucking car.

Why the fuck does a new block have no oil pressure!!!!

if you are running under 1.1-1.2 bar boost, yes. try running more and you'll see how erratic it will be

I will and I'll let you know..thats if I get the thing up and running.

Yes, the no oil pressure is no my problem as such, Pete is looking into it, however there is nothing to report yet. He has stripped it down etc and cant find the cause.

I need my car for work and now I'm fucked. Dont know when Im getting it back now. If something is drastically wrong and cost money to fix I'm getting rid and putting standard block back in.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Ps. The company that did the machine work dont give warranty unless the engine was rebuilt using standard parts....

Your guess is as good as mine mate.

Been in Amsterdam, just got back. Will ring tomorrow to see if there are any updates.

Do you think a 222hp Glanza which is totally stripped out be easy to sell? I'm thinking not due to it having no interior?

I will be delighted yes, but not if it means spending more money.

Just bought a second house, I dont have time and money for this.

When the engine is running is there any knocking? Is it actually zero oil pressure or is it just low? And you are sure your gauge is accurate?

OK, oil pressure is sorted, it was the relief valve. No damage should have been done, as when turned over it was running at high rev's with pressure, it was only when it idled to at 1,000rpm but was shut off.

Last little bits are being sorted now, downpipe etc then will be run and checked for leaks etc etc, so hopefully will go to pick it up tomorrow sometime.

Fingers crossed.
